What is Independent Legal Advice (ILA)
Independent legal advice is required in England to ensure that individuals fully understand the legal implications and consequences of their decisions, especially in complex legal matters such as contracts, wills, or property transactions. It helps safeguard against potential conflicts of interest and assures that individuals make informed choices that protect their legal rights and interests.
Services We Offer
Here at The ILA Company we can arrange a broad range of services to cover the majority of client requirements. If you require a service that is not listed, please contact us as we can likely arrange it.

Our Process
Step 1 – Book your ILA online or using our callback service
Book now online or arrange a call back to book an ILA appointment convenient to you. We can accommodate same day turnaround or advance requests.
Step 2 – Attend an online meeting
Once our solicitor’s swift automated onboarding is complete and your ILA documents are received, an online meeting can be held. This can all be done at a time and date to suit you. All you need is a laptop, tablet or phone (with a working video camera) to join
During the meeting, the solicitor will expertly guide you through the advice, ensuring it is completely understood and accepted. This will take approximately thirty minutes.
Step 3 – Sign and return the documentation
In the meeting you will be asked to sign the documentation. Depending on the nature of the documents, you will either arrange to post the hard copy of the signed documents to the solicitor for countersigning or just send a photograph for the records. Any required documentation will then be sent onwards to your conveyencer to assist with your completion.
